Writer’s Block- Or Blogger’s Block?

One of my classmates is going to Europe with his family. He is missing part of school, but will be here before the school year ends. I overheard my teacher telling him what his homework is: it’s keeping a journal. That’s right, his homework is to keep a journal about all the things he does in Europe. It would be cool to take your journal to places where you go. Maybe if you even take your journal to a trip to Ohio, it would be interesting to compare different places to your home town.
Like I said, his homework is to keep a journal. But, my teacher also said it has to be in detail.She said maybe the kind of food he eats there, what he sees, etc. I think that if you keep a journal keep it detailed so that the next time you read it you will actually kind of feel like you are back in time. Also, write your journal in your style. If you read your journal again in ten years, you will be surprised by your lifestyle.
I’m kind of jealous that he gets to go to Europe AND keep a journal for homework, but, you can still keep a journal for fun! Anyways, if you keep a journal for fun, you won’t have to share it with other people! (He has to share it with the class!) 😀

Journal: Like a critic, write about books you read. If you wrote something, ask someone to give you feedback on it to write something even better!
Sketchbook: Draw the covers of your favorite book, or if you can try to draw your favorite authors.
Diary: Write down a list of your favorite books.
Scrap book: Glue in pictures of you reading your favorite book, or make a collage out of pictures of your favorite authors and books.
